Ambassador of Algeria in Bulgaria revealed new data on the country's trade with Europe


H.E. Asma Babush, Ambassador of Algeria to Bulgaria visited the BCCI and spoke with the President, Tsvetan Simeonov.

Ambassador Babush presented current economic information on economic reforms in Algeria. 3 years ago, a new Investment Agency was established in the country, working with similar partner organizations. About 43% of the country's trade is with EU countries. Cooperation is developing with Italy and Spain in the gas sector. There is good economic cooperation with Turkey. Algeria exports about 25% of its agricultural production. The country has a well-developed production of green hydrogen, and in this area it has a close partnership with Germany.

During the conversation, Ambassador Babush and President Tsvetan Simeonov agreed to organize a joint Algerian-Bulgarian economic forum to present the opportunities for doing business with Algeria, in September this year. A convenient date for both countries is yet to be determined, which the BCCI will inform about in a timely manner.
