Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry entered into a Cooperation Framework Agreement with the Bulgarian Development Bank

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) entered into a Cooperation Framework Agreement with the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) during a business seminar hosted by the Chamber, which presented the new products of the bank in support of Bulgarian business. The Agreement was signed by the BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov and by the Executive Director and MB Member of the Bulgarian Development Bank - Ivan Hristov.

Access to financing is among top three problems of Bulgarian business, along with the administrative burden and changing legislation, said the President of the BCCI, highlighting the importance of the Agreement. Access to business financing is made difficult by the quite complicated rules for absorption of EU funds in our country, which is another reason for the BCCI to wish to develop cooperation with the BDB, as it is called to be useful to the Bulgarian business, particularly to the small and medium sized enterprises, added Tsvetan Simeonov. He also said that some of the regional chambers within the structure of the BCCI already have such agreements and the Chamber will foster the rest of them to extend their cooperation with the BDB, as it will be beneficial for the Bulgarian business.

During the seminar organized by the Council of Innovation and Energy Efficiency with the BCCI, BDB’s Executive Director Ivan Hristov, together with the Head of Department “Small and Medium Business” – Lachezar Todorov and National Guarantee Fund CEO Samuil Shiderov presented the new loan and guarantee products by the Bulgarian Development Bank.
