BCCI accomplished its plans and objectives for 2015 in support of business

The Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry adopted the Chamber’s Annual Report for 2015 and approved the Programme for the Activity of BCCI in 2016. The documents were adopted at the regular annual meeting of BCCI’s Board of Directors.

It was reported that the Chamber has accomplished the set programme goals and fulfilled its financial plans with a positive result. This is a prerequisite for successful implementation of the plans for this year. The entire activity of BCCI is carried out without any financial support from the state.

In relation to BCCI’s activity aimed at improving the conditions for doing business in the country, the difficulties resulting from the current legislation were discussed during the meeting.

Some of the adopted priorities for the activity of the Chamber in 2016 are: establishing representativeness of BCCI as an employers’ organization; offering online service “Evaluation of the eligibility of SMEs for Operational Programmes 2014-2020” and online consultations; remote participation of SMEs in all trainings organized by the Chamber by using modern technological solutions (“GoToMeeting”); providing services in support of management and development of innovation (assessment of the innovation capacity of SMEs through the IMP3rove instrument); expanding the application of the Product Catalogue; applying for public procurements and projects funded under EU programmes, etc.

BCCI’s Programme for 2016 is open and throughout the year will be updated to reflect the economic situation in the country, and supplemented with ideas and suggestions from the partners of the Chamber, its member companies and sectorial organization.

During the meeting Certificates for Donations to BCCI’s campaign to restore the house of the first Chairman of Sofia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ivan Grozev in Karlovo were awarded.
