The Commercial and Economic Office in Italy is the most active Bulgarian commercial section abroad for 2015

During an official ceremony held at BCCI, the awards for the most successful Commercial and Economic Offices of Bulgaria abroad for 2015 were bestowed.

The big prize - bronze statuette “Hermes” and a Diploma went to the Bulgarian Commercial and Economic Office in Italy for its major contribution to increasing Bulgarian exports, growth of investments and attracting tourists to Bulgaria, as well as for active cooperation with the Bulgarian business and support for achieving the tasks and goals of BCCI. The award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Economy Lyuben Petrov.

The Vice-President of BCCI Georgi Stoev presented the award, an Honorary Diploma, to the second place winner – the Bulgarian Commercial Section in Kazakhstan.

The third place went to the Commercial and Economic Office of Bulgaria in Iran. The award was presented by Grigor Porozhanov, Director “Foreign Economic Relations” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The other nominees – the Bulgarian Commercial and Economic Offices in Vietnam, Germany and Uzbekistan also received prizes. The Honorary Diplomas were presented by Georgi Stoev and Madzhide Ahmedova, Deputy Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency.

The Vice-President of BCCI greeted the present Bulgarian commercial counsellors and stressed that the ranking was made on the basis of criteria adopted by BCCI and the Ministry of Economy – increase of exports, investment and number of tourists, active cooperation with the Bulgarian business and a complex evaluation by the Ministry of Economy.

Other commercial sections also deserve a high praise for their active work in 2015, such as the Commercial and Economic Offices in Romania, the USA, Japan, Lebanon and Russia, but the ceremony’s regulations do not allow a commercial section to be awarded in two consecutive years.

Georgi Stoev expressed readiness for BCCI to assist our commercial counsellors in the execution of their tasks abroad and wished them to continue their active work and to successfully take part in next year’s classification.

The event was organized with the assistance of Enterprise Europe Network at BCCI.
