High-level meetings in Serbia
Representatives of the Bulgarian business organizations, among whom the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov, accompanied Bulgarian Head of State Rosen Plevneliev on his official visit to Serbia on 12 – 13 March 2015.
During the two-day visit meetings with various Serbian business organizations were held, including with the Serbian Association of Employers and GS1 Serbia. Tsvetan Simeonov, who is also Chairman of the GS1 Bulgarian Board presented at the office of GS1 Serbia the progress achieved for implementing the GS1 standards in our country. He emphasized the huge interest towards the mobile application BG Barcode which verifies the legitimacy of barcodes and announced that the new information system of GS1 Bulgaria offers new functionalities to the GS1 member-companies in order to assist them in applying the GS1 standards. An agreement was reached for future cooperation in the implementation of GS1 standards.
On 13 March in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, a meeting with local businesses was held with the participation of the Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev.
The Bulgarian business delegation, led by President Plevneliev, visited Serbia at the invitation of the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic. The visit reflected the focus of the President’s foreign policy agenda on regional cooperation, better connectivity between the countries from the region and their Euro-Atlantic perspective.
