As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev to Brazil and Argentina, during which he was accompanied by a business delegation organized by BCCI, a number of meetings with the Bulgarian community were held.

In Argentina, where the largest Bulgarian community in Latin America is situated, our fellow-countrymen develop active enlightenment and patriotic activity to preserve Bulgarian customs and pass them on to future generations. They expressed their desire to keep the Bulgarian spirit and traditions alive and shared the difficulties encountered in this endeavor – the lack of national costumes, books and Bulgarian flags.

In support of their patriotic initiatives the Administration of the President has supplied national costumes, flags and books, and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the members of the business delegation that visited Latin America in early February provided the finances and logistic support to send them to the other end of the world.

In this way, jointly with the Presidency, the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad, BCCI and the business representatives have committed to the problems of Bulgarians abroad and supported preserving the Bulgarian ethno-cultural space abroad.
