In September BCCI starts developing a new project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme on theme “Strategic Partnerships for Vocational Education and Training”. Organizations from the UK, Germany, Canada and Poland are project partners. The main objective is to introduce good practices for hiring interns in small and medium-sized enterprises. The leading organization is the Municipal Council of Gedling Borough, United Kingdom.
During the project a training programme will be developed to help SMEs’ managers in the process of successfully hiring interns. For this purpose, the positive experience of the Berlin Institute for Vocational Education and Training which has developed and implemented similar programmes will be used. The main activities of BCCI under the project include: analysis of the barriers and obstacles which businesses face when hiring interns; developing a training programme which meets the needs of businesses; piloting the programme; giving recommendations for its improvement. The term of the project is 36 months.
