The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov participates as a delegate of the Bulgarian employers in the 105th International Labour Conference (ILC), which was opened on 30th May in Geneva. The Bulgarian delegation is headed by the Minister of Labour and Social Policy Zornitsa Rusinova. Representatives of the Government, the nationally representative organizations of employers and trade unions are part of the delegation.
Today, 3rd June, the President of BCCI presented a report on behalf of all nationally representative employers’ organizations focusing on the tripartite dialogue in Bulgaria and the role of social partners in resolving all important issues in the social and economic sphere. With mutual efforts Bulgaria managed to preserve the lowest personal and corporate income tax rates in the European Union – only 10%, the level of the public debt remained among the lowest ones in Europe and worldwide, and we even registered a surplus in the budget of Bulgaria for the first months of this year, which in the long run is a prerequisite for better social environment.

During the International Labour Conference, the President of BCCI had a meeting with Ambassador Ivan Piperkov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the UN and the other international organizations in Geneva. Ambassador Piperkov presented the latest initiatives of the Permanent Representation, among which the exhibition of modern Bulgarian art “On Letters – the Cyrillic Alphabet in Contemporary Art from Bulgaria” which was held on 24 May at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on the occasion of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Alphabet.
On 2 June, Plamen Dimitrov – President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, as a delegate of the group of Bulgarian trade unions presented a report with a vision that the ILO has the strength and can guarantee the rights and interests of working people.
