Bulgarian-Turkish business relations have a great development potential

Secretary-General of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Vassil Todorov, took part in the VI Regular Annual General Meeting of the members of the Turkish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI).

Ambassador of Turkey to Bulgaria, H.E. Mr. Suleyman Gokce, emphasized the importance of the Bulgarian-Turkish foreign trade relations and the significant role that the TBCCI has in this process. He noted that since the TBCCI exists, there is a tenfold increase of the trade turnover and significant investment activities. Economic, trade and transport relations between the two countries should be of priority development. Despite the crisis, Turkish investments in Bulgaria last year were about $ 2 billion, the Ambassador said.

In his statement, Secretary-General of the BCCI Vassil Todorov highlighted the excellent cooperation work between BCCI and TBCCI. The statistics of the Chamber indicate that currently, the organized forums by the Chamber, both in Turkey or Bulgaria, with the participation of Bulgarian and Turkish companies are most attended. This shows that the relations between the Bulgarian and Turkish businesses have great potential. Mr. Vassil Todorov specified the possibilities of a future cooperation between BCCI and TBCCI, and towards presenting and protecting the interests of the companies before the state authorities, assistance for participation in European projects, and reduction of the administrative burdens.
