Discussion of the trade and economic relations with Kuwait

At the invitation of the Ambassador of Kuwait, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov visited the Embassy and talked with H.E. Yaqoub Alateeqi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Sofia. Mr. Ahmad Alaeddine, Chairman of the Association of Bulgarian-Arab Chambers of Commerce, also took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the economic relations between Kuwait and Bulgaria were discussed. Their unsatisfactory development was noted and various ideas were discussed in order to increase trade between the two countries. Simeonov informed Ambassador Alateeqi about the recent meeting at the BCCI with the newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to the State of Kuwait.

It was agreed that the BCCI and the Embassy of Kuwait in Sofia will cooperate for the future organization and holding of an exhibition-bazaar of Bulgarian goods and products at the end of autumn 2021, provided that the state of the global pandemic allows it. .

Ambassador Alateeqi noted the lack and insufficient supply of Bulgarian goods with a high image and quality and covering the tastes and specific requirements of the local market. In this regard, Ahmad Alaeddine undertook the Association of Bulgarian-Arab Chambers of Commerce to provide technical assistance for the organization of a future exhibition of similar goods in Kuwait.
