BCCI hosted the 123rd Plenary Assembly and a Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of EUROCHAMBRES

On 12 June, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the 123rd Plenary Assembly of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) and a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association.

The meeting was officially opened by the President of EUROCHAMBRES Christoph Leitl, who welcomed the participants and thanked BCCI for the successfully organized edition of the European Parliament of Enterprises in Sofia. He pointed out that the event outlined 3 main areas in which chambers of commerce and industry should cooperate with enterprises, namely the shortage of qualified staff, digital single market, and clusters for SMEs. Mr. Leitl said that EUROCHAMBRES will immediately start working on these topics by setting up committees and working groups. A video from the beginning of the event is available HERE.

The President of EUROCHAMBRES also presented the measures taken for the future of the Association and the results achieved in the first half of 2018.

  • Ensuring the best standard of living for European citizens
  • Preserving European values and democracy.

During the meeting, the organizational process of the next European Parliament of Enterprises 2018, which will be held in Brussels in October, was discussed, and the official launch of the recruitment of participants for the event.
