Meeting with the Ambassador of Macedonia
The Ambassador of Macedonia in Sofia H.E. Marjan Gjorchev discussed with the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov the development of the bilateral trade and economic relations.
Tsvetan Simeonov noted BCCI’s traditionally good cooperation with the Embassy of Macedonia in the organization of joint business initiatives, and the ambitious programme of the Macedonian – Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce. The goal is not to lose momentum after the signing of the Friendship, Good Neighbourly Relations and Cooperation Treaty between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia. It is necessary for the partnership between the two countries to go beyond the institutions, with the business structures becoming the engine for development of the untapped potential in the trade relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the possibilities for promoting partner relations between entrepreneurs from both countries were discussed, as well as for exchanging information about upcoming international fairs and exhibitions in both countries, and organizing joint forums, delegations and presentations.
Ambassador Gjorchev informed about existing interest for future bilateral cooperation in the construction of water treatment plants along the Vardar River in Macedonia, for which the Bulgarian experience can be used.
