Meeting with a delegation from Qashqadaryo Region, Uzbekistan
The Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov had a working meeting with a delegation from the Qashqadaryo Region, Uzbekistan. He underlined BCCI’s active cooperation with partner institutions from Uzbekistan and mentioned several meetings held in 2018: with a delegation from the Committee of the Interethnic Relations and Friendly Cooperation with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Mr. Nodir Otajonov, with diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, as well as with members of the Bulgarian – Uzbek Business Council established in 2017.
The guests presented information on the Qashqadaryo Region, which is the fourth largest in Uzbekistan and successfully develops the cotton and textile industry, agriculture, transport and logistics. The efforts are aimed at using the region’s tourism potential, including for spa and recreational tourism. An interest was declared in establishing cooperation with potential partners from Bulgaria in the following sectors: tourism, industry, agriculture, education, medicine, construction materials, investment, etc.
Vasil Todorov invited the representatives of the delegation to send specific projects, which BCCI will examine and present to the relevant Bulgarian institutions and appropriate business partners.
