The Vice-President of the Arbitration Court at BCCI Angel Kalaydzhiev – in the lists of arbitrators and conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes

The legal expert Angel Kalaydzhiev, Vice-President of the Arbitration Court at BCCI along with three other lawyers will be included in the lists of arbitrators and conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, Bulgarian Government decided at its meeting this week.

Conciliators and arbitrators are determined in compliance with the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States of 1965, which entered into force for Bulgaria in May 2001. The designated lawyers meet the requirements of the Convention to have high moral character and recognized competence in the Field of law, to have specialized education and real professional experience in international public law concerning the protection of foreign investment, international commercial law and international arbitration. The inclusion of the selected legal experts in the lists will strengthen Bulgaria’s role as a participant in the internationally recognized mechanisms for conciliation and arbitration under the auspices of the World Bank.
