Chinese delegation from Hebei Province, China visited BCCI and met with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov. Head of Delegation Jong Ian, who is Vice-Director General of the Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce, highlighted that the aim of the visit was to get acquainted with Bulgaria’s potential and extend the bilateral relations in the field of trade and construction. Among the 11-member delegation was also the Director General of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Hebei Branch, and Vice-Director General of the Hebei Electric Power Design & Research Institute.
The meeting focused on discussions on the opportunities to promote the participation of Chinese partners and investors in Bulgarian infrastructure projects, such as building bridges, highways etc.
Tsvetan Simeonov noted that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry maintains good relations with diplomats of the Chinese Embassy in Sofia and with their assistance it will inform about the opportunities to participate in projects in Bulgaria in the new 2014-2020 programming period. He outlined in detail the advantages of investing in Bulgaria and gave thorough answers to all questions about our banking system, foreign exchange and the possibilities to involve the workforce, as well as the level of the wages in our country.
Tsvetan Simeonov expressed willingness on behalf of the BCCI to cooperate with the Chinese partners in order to extend the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and China.
