Over 30 Bulgarian entrepreneurs had the opportunity to conduct business meetings with representatives of the Association of Iraqi businessmen in the fields of tourism, construction, infrastructure and trade.
At the opening of the forum, BCCI's Secretary General Vassil Todorov determined the interest of the Bulgarian companies as a clear signal that businesses are interested in the opportunities to invest and collaborate with Iraq.
"The event aims at establishing contacts between entrepreneurs and laying the foundations of a future partnership," said Dr. Ziad Tariq Abdul, Head of Delegation of the Association of Iraqi businessmen.
During the meetings as a major obstacle to the business development in Iraq security was mentioned.
Ivan Todorov, Legal Advisor on investment services in InvestBulgaria Agency, presented the investment opportunities in Bulgaria, focusing on the strategic geographical location, which favors the easy access to the markets of the EU, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East.
