Virtual forum "How to do business with Zambia" was held




BCCI, together with the Embassy of Zambia in Paris, accredited for Bulgaria, and the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), held a virtual business forum "How to do business with Zambia".

The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov welcomed the participants from both countries and thanked the team of the Embassy for the good cooperation and the overall organization of the event. New opportunities open up for Bulgarian companies to find new partners in Africa, as well as for entrepreneurs from Zambia to enter the European market. Bulgarian companies can offer their experience in the field of agriculture - processing of raw materials, energy sector, small hydropower turbines, etc.

The Ambassador of Zambia H.E. Dr. Christine Kaseba-Sata also greeted the participants, thanking the BCCI for the organization of the forum. The Ambassador expressed hope that in the near future, as long as the conditions are right, a Bulgarian business delegation will visit Zambia.

Albert Halwampa, Director General of Zambia Development Agency, presented the economic situation in Zambia and the benefits for foreign entrepreneurs of investing in the country.

Mulumba Lwatula, Deputy Head of Industrial Development Corporation, presented the sectors: mining, agriculture and agro-processing, production, tourism, and infrastructure development.

Vihren Dimitrov, Executive Director of “Golyamo Vranovo Pig Farm”, presented the company’s experience in Zambia.
