Grigor Porozhanov, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria to China, visited BCCI and met with the Chamber’s President Tsvetan Simeonov. During the meeting the bilateral economic relations between Bulgaria and China were discussed.
Bulgaria provides excellent opportunities for transportation of Chinese goods to the other EU member-states. According to Ambassador Porozhanov, Chinese companies are interested in cooperation with Bulgarian entrepreneurs manufacturing the following goods and products:
- Lucerne and corn;
- Fish products;
- Milk and dairy products;
- Pork, etc.
China is traditionally Bulgaria’s largest trading partner in Asia. I
According to data of the Bulgarian National Bank and the InvestBulgaria Agency, in the period 1996 – 2015 Chinese investments amounted to EUR 86.7 M. The country ranks 39th by foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bulgaria among 206 countries.
