Presentation of opportunities for participation of Bulgarian agricultural companies in the Chinese economy
At BCCI, a presentation of new regulations and opportunities for participation of Bulgarian agricultural companies in the Chinese economy was held. The meeting was organized by the Investment Council at BCCI and the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEE Countries (APACCCEEC).
“The Chinese market is a big challenge for Bulgaria. It opens great opportunities for the Bulgarian business”, said the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov in his welcoming speech to the participants and expressed the Chamber’s readiness to assist companies in finding Chinese partners. Tsvetan Simeonov noted the active support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in this regard.
Vladimir Tomov, Chairman of the Investment Council at BCCI presented opportunities for financing and investment of the business with China and CEE.
The Executive Director of APACCCEEC Vasil Gelev presented in detail the initiative for the opening of a “16+1 Demonstration Center for e-commerce with agricultural and other products – Bulgaria”, which is supported by the heads of government of China and the countries from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The main objective is to deepen the cooperation between China and the CEE countries and to help manufacturers from these countries sell their products in the vast Chinese market.
The center is located near Plovdiv, in Maritsa Industrial Zone. It provides a full range of services necessary for international trade, such as:
- Supply chain management services;
- Logistics of samples;
- Storage facilities for samples;
- Direct relations with the Chinese customs authorities to facilitate the import process;
- Demonstration pavilion for product promotion and exhibition;
- B2B, B2C and G2B2B2C e-platform.
The center covers an area of 12,000 m2 and has a range of exhibition rooms, modern lighting, tablets, TVs, multimedia and other tools for goods exhibiting and promotion.
It gathers samples from Bulgarian companies working in the field of agriculture and food. These samples are being promoted in the already existing 16 + 1 Demonstration Centers in Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Yantian and Shanghai (China).
