Bulgaria's Southern Black Sea Coast in Focus in the Prestigious Turkish Newspaper Milliyet

Bulgaria is the only foreign destination featured in the summer edition of the Turkish daily Milliyet, one of the most influential media outlets in the country. This is the result of a targeted campaign by the Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourist Office in Istanbul to promote the southern Black Sea coast as a favorite vacation spot for Turkish tourists. The magazine "Milliyet's Summer Breeze," distributed in 100,000 copies, is entirely dedicated to summer travel and includes advertising content, articles, and photographs presenting Bulgaria's Southern Black Sea coast as an attractive destination for spa, cultural, and seaside tourism.

"Turkey is a strategic market for Bulgarian tourism. Bulgaria's presence as the only foreign destination in the summer edition of Milliyet is a clear sign of the increased interest and result of our consistent work to position our country as a close, accessible, and competitive destination," said Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh. According to him, the focus on the Southern Black Sea Coast is not accidental, because the region offers a combination of sea, mineral springs, cultural attractions, and quality tourist infrastructure. Thanks to the effective partnership between the state and local authorities, the Southern Black Sea Coast is presented as a modern, competitive, and welcoming destination capable of attracting a wide audience from the neighbouring Turkish market.

Milliyet is one of the most authoritative publications in Turkey, distributed in over 12,000 retail outlets in all 81 provinces of the country. Milliyet has an established digital presence through its online platform Milliyet.com.tr and the Milliyet e-gazete mobile app.

This campaign is part of the Ministry of Tourism's overall strategy to promote inbound tourism from neighboring countries. By using authoritative media channels and joint initiatives with foreign local authorities, Bulgaria is consolidating its position as an easily accessible, diverse, and welcoming destination, attractive for both short trips and organized vacations throughout the summer season.
