Bulgaria signed the agreements for grant help from the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund
The Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Delian Dobrev and the Director of Direction Nuclear Safety in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Vince Novak signed agreements for the provision of grant help for the fulfillment of measures for energy efficiency. The financial help is on the line of the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund and is at the value of EUR 47 million.
The projects for the energy efficiency measures include 243 public buildings on the territory of the whole country. In the frame of the agreements are also projects for the replacement and renewal of street lighting in 14 municipalities at the total value of around EUR 10 million.
Minister Dobrev ensured that this is one of the most massive programs for energy efficiency in the country, as in it will participate 99 kindergartens, 63 learning institutions, 55 health institutions, 16 administrative, 10 sport and culture buildings.
Delian Dobrev expects in each building to be achieved savings from 50 to 70 from a hundred. On the territory of Sofia Municipality have been approved 26 projects, in Plovdiv – 28, in Stara Zagora – 4, in Burgas – 17.
