1. Producer Price Indices on Domestic Market
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in April 2013 decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous month. The domestic prices fell in the mining and quarrying industry by 3.6%, in the manufacturing and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 0.8%.
In the manufacturing3, compared to the previous month the prices went down in the manufacture of basic metals by 3.2%, in the manufacture of food products and in the manufacture of beverages by 0.4%.
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in April 2013 fell by 1.4% compared to the same month of 2012. The domestic prices decreased in the mining and quarrying industry by 8.0%, in the manufacturing by 1.3% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 0.8%.
In the manufacturing compared to April 2012, prices reductions were seen in the manufacture of basic metals by 7.1% and in the manufacture of paper and paper products by 0.7%. The price increase was registered in the manufacture of leather and related products by 9.2%, in the manufacture of food products by 6.2%, in the manufacture of beverages by 5.5% and in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 5.2%.
2. Total Producer Price Indices in Industry
Total Producer Price Index in Industry in April 2013 decreased by 0.8% compared to the previous month. Lower prices were registered in the mining and quarrying industry by 2.2%, in the manufacturing by 0.7% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 1.0%.
In the manufacturing2, more significant prices decreases were seen in the manufacture of food products by 0.4%, in the manufacture of beverages and in the printing and reproduction of recorded media by 0.3%.
Total Producer Price Index in April 2013 went down by 1.9% comparing to the same month of 2012.
In the manufacturing, the prices fell by 1.9% as compared to April 2012. More significant prices decreases were seen in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 0.8% and in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations by 0.6%, while the producer prices grew in the manufacture of food products by 5.9%, in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 5.8% and in the manufacture of beverages by 5.5%.
