Producer price indices in industry - June 2013


1. Producer Price Indices on Domestic Market

Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in June 2013 decreased by 0.1% compared to the previous month. The domestic prices fell in the mining and quarrying industry by 2.7%, while in the manufacturing and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply the prices remain at the level of the previous month.

In the manufacturing, compared to the previous month the prices went down in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 2.7% and in the manufacture of basic metals by 2.1, while an increase was seen in the manufacture of other transport equipment by 2.5% and in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 0.4%.

Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in June 2013 did not change compared to the same month of 2012. The domestic prices grew in the manufacturing by 0.9%, while the prices fell in the mining and quarrying industry by 10.5% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 0.5%.

In the manufacturing compared to June 2012, prices increase was seen in the manufacture of leather and related products by 11.5%, in the manufacture of food products and in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 5.1%. The price decrease was registered in the manufacture of basic metals by 5.4% and in the manufacture of paper and paper products by 1.8%.

2. Total Producer Price Indices in Industry

Total Producer Price Index in Industry in June 2013 decreased by 0.3% compared to the previous month. Lower prices were registered in the mining and quarrying industry by 4.5%, in the manufacturing by 0.2% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 0.1%.

In the manufacturing, more significant price decrease was seen in the manufacture of basic metals by 2.2%, in the manufacture of leather and related products by 1.8%, in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 1.7% and in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 0.9%.

3. Total Producer Price Index in June 2013 went down by 0.1% comparing to the same month of 2012.

In the manufacturing, the prices rose by 0.9% as compared to June 2012. More significant prices increases were seen in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 5.1%, in the manufacture of food products by 5.0%, in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 4.4% and in the manufacture of beverages by 4.3%, while the producer prices fell in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 3.7%, in the manufacture of paper and paper products by 1.5% and in the manufacture of basic metals by 1.4%.
