'Grand Horo' dance at the Grand Place in Brussels on Sunday 17 April!

'Grand Horo', 2015

Once again this April, the Grand Place in Brussels will move to the rhythms and richness of Balkan dances and music. This year's 'Grand Horo' dance will take place on Sunday 17th April from 14:00 as part of the 10th BOZAR Balkan Trafik Festival 2016, with Vice-President Kristalina Georgieva as patron for the fourth year running.

The Bulgarian Horo is one of many European circle or chain dances performed since ancient times, and similar to dances you may know from your home country. So no matter whether you are coming from the North, the Centre or the South of Europe, from the West or the East, you will easily learn the steps.

The European Commission Representation in Belgium is also supporting the event this year, as the Commission celebrates the cultural diversity of Europe and our close ties with our host country, Belgium

A great time for all will be ensured by the Bulgarian music and dance ensemble « Razlozhki Meratsi », the Belgian-Albanian group Vatra, the Albanian group Vikena Kamenica – Ali Pasha & Keli Band, the Belgian-Turkish dance and music group Dillere Destean and the Romanian diaspora group, Floare de Colt.
