Sofia based Imagga, which is known for its sophisticated technology for recognizing objects and concepts in digital pictures, has been awarded the Tech for Big Player Award, during the largest startup event for South Europe and Latin America, South Summit 2015. The prestigious prize was awarded by HM Felipe VI King of Spain.
Over 100 carefully selected startup companies from 15 countries were given the chance to present their projects in four categories – digital solutions for the mass market, healthcare and biotech, industrial revolution and solutions for the big players. Bulgaria was represented by three innovative products – automated image recognition solution by Imagga, smart glasses that improves your sleep and minimizes jet lag by Novology, and Kuknall – a footboard that makes toilet experience healthier.
Imagga is developing a technology for automated recognition of objects and concepts in digital pictures. The technology is used by companies who need to deal with huge volumes of user generated imagery. The technology behind the solution is based on machine learning using neural networks and is the result of committed work of Imagga’s 8 team members.
