The Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Ivo Marinov presented a Class A investment certificate to SOK Kamchia EAD-Burgas – member of BCCI. The document was issued for the investment project "Construction of children's wellness camp "Chernomorski" and Amphitheater" in the Kamchia resort, estimated at BGN 35.5 million.
The certificate was received by the Executive Director of the Company Stanka Shopova.
SOK Kamchia is fulfilling an investment programme of the Government of the city of Moscow at the total value of over BGN 200 million. Up to this moment two projects in the "Kamchia" complex with certificates from the Investment Promotion Act were realized – in 2007 and 2009. They are at the total value of BGN 111 million. The first project was for the construction of the health-and-wellness complex "Kamchia" for BGN 72 million, while the second one was for the treatment-diagnostic, spa and educational center estimated at BGN 39 million.
The children's camp under the new project will include medical cabinets, halls for games and dancing, a training hall, a sauna, a music hall, a movie and concert hall, an exhibition hall, a reading room, a video room, an Internet club. The Summer Amphitheater with around 2000 seats will be used for learning, cultural and sport events. 376 new jobs will be created, as the total number of employees of the company in 2014 will reach 769 people. The project will be entirely financed by own funds for 2 years.
SOK Kamchia was established in 2003 as a company with special investment target for the construction and management of a health-and-wellness complex for children and youths with health, educational, cultural and restorative-rehabilitation functions through relaxation and tourism. In 2004, it was acquired by the current sole owner of the capital – the Government of the city of Moscow.
