KCM, Bulgaria's largest lead and zinc smelter, has successfully completed the first stage of a BGN 262-million technological update and capacity expansion project.
Currently two new plants near Plovdiv - for production of lead and zinc, operate under commissioning tests, said Rumen Tsonev, CEO of "KCM 2000", in Plovdiv in the Day of metallurgy.
The final of the investment will be in 2016 or in 2017, predicted Nikola Dobrev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "KCM 2000". The company intends to maintain the total number of 1800 employees, but the added value will increase more than 2 times, he added.
