Bulgaria’s Government has drafted amendments to the Black Sea Coast Spatial Planning Act to put an end to the chaotic over-development along the country’s coastline, Regional Development and Public Works Minister Liliana Pavlova said.
The amendments would restrict construction in a 100 metre zone along the coast. Concrete buildings on the sand would be banned, Pavlova said.
The fourth priority in the amendments was to ban and remove stalls selling any kind of goods on beaches, Bulgarian media reports quoted Pavlova as telling a 28 February 2012 forum organised by the Ministry on the amendments.
