Ambassador of Argentina in Sofia H.E. Alfredo Atanasoff and the Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy Juan Ignacio Camio visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and held talks with the President Tsvetan Simeonov and Vladimir Tomov - Chairman of the Investment Council at BCCI.
Ambassador Atanasoff outlined his country's investment profile, presenting the various investment funds and future investment intentions operating in the Argentine market. Various forms of promoting the investment process between the two countries were discussed - Bulgarian investments abroad and investments of foreign companies in Bulgaria.
Vladimir Tomov briefed the guests on the guidelines and priorities of the BCCI Investment Council. Its members include banks, financial institutions, state and municipal investment funds, investment-related organizations, private investors, guarantee funds, etc. Different credit instruments for accessing third markets were presented.
At the meeting an invitation was extended to the guests from Argentina to participate in the upcoming event Sofia International Money Expo, (SIMExpo 2022), organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), BCCI and the Investment Council at BCCI. The aim of the international conference is to increase the financial and investment culture of small and medium-sized enterprises by providing them with useful information on development opportunities through the use of various financial and investment instruments in an accessible way.
The President of BCCI said that at the moment there is a certain standstill on the part of companies to invest abroad, including Bulgarian companies, due to the constantly rising prices of energy carriers and the resulting complex state of affairs and uncertainty in the market.
At the end of the meeting it was agreed to continue the joint work between BCCI, the team of the Embassy of Argentina and the Investment Council to find effective future investments in both countries.
