The Integrated Information System of the Public Administration will be put in operation in November 2015.
Head of the Cabinet of Deputy Prime Minister for Coalition Policy and Public Administration Anton Gerunov outlined the three major benefits of the Integrated Information System. First, the system will greatly facilitate citizens when taking advantage of administrative services. Second, the administration itself will be greatly facilitated in terms of administrative resources and communication between different units. Furthermore, transparency of the work of administrative staff will be increased.
The Integrated Information System will provide the administration with a common source of information, services and regimes, as well as a comprehensive reference tool for the functioning of central and local units of the executive power. The introduction of the new Integrated Information System will allow for single entry and multiple uses of data.
The new Integrated Information System will enable full interaction between self-functioning systems of central executive authorities, regional, and municipal administrations. At present, information is entered separately into three systems, which are not interconnected: the Administrative Register, the System for Self-Assessment of Administrative Services, and the Information System for Filing in the Reports on the Administration. The electronic List of Unified Names of Administrative Services will be a key part of the Integrated Information System’s functioning. The List of Unified Names of Administrative Services will become a register of administrative services.
Data in the Integrated Information System will be in a machine-readable format in accordance with Directive 2013/37 / EU and the decision of the Administrative Reform Council to prioritize the opening of 119 databases. The Information System will work in sync with the Uniform Information System for Human Resources Management in the Public Administration.
