Direct air route Sofia – Belgrade will be released in April next year. This was announced by Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic after his meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Oresharski in Sofia, held on 11th December 2013.
The main topic of discussion was the South Stream gas pipeline, which is set to pass through both Balkan countries.
The South Stream will be profitable for both Serbia and Bulgaria, Oresharski said in turn. He also stressed that Bulgaria will comply with all requirements of the EU.
The Serbian Prime Minister and some of his ministers were in Sofia for an official visit.
Why not explore opportunities for development in the regions along the border, inhabited by Bulgarian minorities, proposed the president of the National Assembly, Mihail Mikov, at the meeting with the Premier of Serbia Ivica Dacic. When we work on such matters together we will be stronger and the attitude towards us will be different. Ivica Dacic has completely agreed with the stance of Bulgaria’s Parliament Chair and has added that joint projects in different areas should be activated.
