Peter Moysov, Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs Office (TEAO) of Bulgaria in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, visited BCCI and talked with its President Tsvetan Simeonov.
During the conversation, they discussed the economic cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as plans for its further development. Given the current complicated situation in the region, future goals were outlined to strengthen the cooperation after normalisation of the situation in the region of the Middle East.
According to information from the TEAO, preliminary interest in cooperation with Bulgaria has been expressed in the areas of eco-friendly farming, spa and medical tourism, information technologies and renewable energy sources, among others. It was agreed that in midyear, BCCI, together with TEAO - Riyadh organises a visit for a Saudi business delegation and a period, convenient for both parties, is going to be fixed.
Data of the Bulgarian National Bank show that at the end of 2024, net foreign investments from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in Bulgaria amounted to €32.7 million.
