The Government of Republic of Bulgaria has received a loan from the World Bank for the purpose of a Municipal Infrastructure Development Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for payment of engineering- construction services.
One component of the proposed project will be the completion of Plovdivtsi Dam where the Applicant shall perform “Construction of Plovdivtsi Dam and Water Treatment Plant".
The project is located in the southern part of the Rhodope Mountains, 14 km away from Rudozem Town. Plovdivtsi reservoir is designed for water supply of the settlements in Rudozem and Madan municipalities with population of about 40 000 residents.
The dam is rock- fill type with asphalt- concrete diaphragm. Currently, the dam has been built up to approximately 38% of the design height.
The Applicant shall have to perform:

Excavation works
(ii) Fill works
(iii) Grout curtain
(iv) Asphalt- concrete diaphragm
(v) Control and measuring system
(vi) Goffan, energy dissipator, spillway chute
(vii) Rehabilitation of trench spillway and water intake tower
(viii) Civil works related to the tailrace and outlet gallery
(ix) Bottom outlet
(x) Service infrastructure
(xi) Remediation of the lake’s cup
(xii) Complete construction of PWTP ( supply of machines, construction of the station, putting into operation).
The deadline for submission of the pre- qualification documents is 26th February 2013, 12:00 p.m. (Sofia local time).
