On 17th October Bulgarian Government opened a concession procedure for the Ruse Central port terminal for the maximum period of 35 years. The concessionaire will be selected through an open procedure.
His obligations would include administrating of all types of services within the port and ensuring their continuity and high level of quality. The chosen company should efficiently maintain the port's functionality and is obliged to execute construction and installation works when it is necessary.
The required amount of investment during the first six years of the concession contract must amount to at least 766 000 BGN (VAT excluded), and for the entire contract period – 35 years – it must reach at least 1 648 500 BGN (VAT excluded).
