As per the informartion, provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports a positive trend is registered for decrease of youth unemployment, which is in synchrone with the active process of applying measures and policies on the part of the institutions. The youth unemployment coefficient for young people between 15 to 29 years of age is 17,7%, which is with 4.1 persentage points less compared to 2013. This is indicated in the approved by the Cabinet Annual Report for Youth for 2014.
The document provides information about the social and economic status of the young people and about the measures, applied by the state institutions and local authorities for its improvement. The information covers 9 basic priority fields in the National Youth Strategy (2014-2020) and takes into consideration the implementation and progress according to 21 key indicators, part of which are the employment and unemployment of young people, the number of those left the educational system, proffesional orientation and realization, the number of young people in the small settlements and rural areas, etc.
The Annual Report is developed by the specialized administration of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the basis of the collected and analyzed information, provided by the central and local bodies, data of the National Statistics Office, Eurostat, and through other national and international studies, carried out during the reported period.
In the reported period the number of social services, provided in the community is increased, incuding those targeted to young people. There is also increase in the allocated financial resources to this purpose. At the end of 2014 the total number of social services in the community was 841 with a capacity of 18 933 jobs. In comparison with 2013 the number of services has incresed with 60 and the capacity with 1 090 working places.
In connection with the civil engagements of the young people it is reported that about 2% of them are members of youth or humanitarion organisations or a syndicate. The same percentage of them are members of political parties, little more than 1% participate in “other” non-political organisations.
