A Lebanese Business Delegation will Visit Bulgaria in the Period between 29 September and 2 October
Mr Ahmad Alaeddin, Chairman of the Lebanese-Bulgarian Business Council (LBBC), discussed with Mr Tsvetan Simeonov the forthcoming visit of a business delegation from Lebanon to our country in the period between 29 September – 2 October. The Delegation is expected to be headed by the Minister of Agriculture of Lebanon and to include companies from the food and drink industry.
The discussion centred on the visit’s Programme, which includes a Business Forum with bilateral meetings in Sofia, accompanied by an Exhibition of traditional Lebanese goods. A visit to some companies and a cultural tour are envisaged as well. The Chamber will give additional information on the Programme of the visit.
Further, the current economic situation in Lebanon was discussed. Data of the Ministry of Economy and Industry in Bulgaria show that the Lebanese economy is oriented to a large extent towards free trade and the services sector (generating 60% of the GDP and the remaining 20% are coming from tourism, 10% - from agriculture and 10% - from industry and other types of activities), with minimum regulation and involvement of the state.
