41 lawyers completed a course of the Arbitration Court at BCCI


“We are very proud of the digitalization of the Arbitration Court and I hope that one day each and everyone of you will be able to see for themselves the advantages of the electronic exchange of documents for a dispute, and why not of the actual hearing of the case on-line”, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov said to the students who successfully completed the 3-month arbitration course for young jurists.

41 acting and future lawyers received certificates for successfully completing the arbitration course.  The certificates and the latest edition of the Legal Practice of the Arbitration Court were personally presented by the President of the Arbitration Court at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvi Chernev.

The course was theoretically and practically oriented and lasted 3 months. It was divided in 12 modules, each of which 3 hours long. The course was held with high professionalism. The lecturers were renowned arbitrators with many years of experience in arbitration proceedings and competent university professors from the Legal Departments in the country: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvi Chernev – President of the Arbitration Court at BCCI, Ruzha Ivanova and Alexander Katsarski – Vice-Presidents of the Arbitration Court; Ventzislava Zhelyazkova – Arbitrator in the Arbitration Court.

The participants in the course expressed their special gratitude to the lecturers for their accuracy and the competency with which they approached their work to provide them with useful knowledge on this complex and specific subject. Because of the great interest towards the course, BCCI undertook to prepare and organize subsequent editions of the training.
