On 28 June 2012, in BCCI’s premises a forum was held on theme: “Prevention of the entry into the legal supply chain of falsified medicinal products. GS1 Automatic Identification in Healthcare.”
The forum was opened by the President of BCCI Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. More than 60 representatives of the pharmaceutical industry took part in the seminar, which was organized by GS1 Bulgaria in cooperation with ARPharM and BFU. The following topics were discussed:
- What are the requirements laid down in Directive 2011/62/EU regarding the prevention of the entry into the legal supply chain of falsified medicinal products?
- What does the EFPIA, PGEU and GIRP Pan-European model of a system for verification of the authenticity of medicinal products include?
- What is GS1 and why EFPIA recommends using the GS1 system of standards for identification of pharmaceutical products?
