BCCI Awarded Companies, Scientists and Doctors from Plovdiv for Their Socially Beneficial Activities and Achievements




The presenters of the Ceremonial Session were Professor Hadzhiev – a Member of the BCCI Board of Directors and of the Scientists’ Union in Plovdiv, Professor Traikova - Deputy Rector for Project Activities at the Medical University (MU) of Plovdiv - and Mr Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Board of Directors of BCCI.

The Meeting started with a speeches of welcome to the attendees given by Prof. Hadzhiev, Prof. Traikova and the District Governor of Plovdiv - Prof. Dr Hristina Yancheva. Everybody highlighted the enormous importance of the cooperation between businesses and education for the development of the economy in the region.

The District Governor of Plovdiv, Prof. Dr Hristina Yancheva, gave her thanks to BCCI for the good joint activities and awarded BCCI President Mr Simeonov an honorary Plaque.

The Meeting also introduced the President of the newly established Plovdiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, namely Mr Simeon Tonev, who accepted congratulations from Mr Simeonov on the successful work on establishing the regional Chamber.

The event was an occasion for awarding prominent persons from the businesses and the scientific circles in the city of Plovdiv.

Professor Hadzhiev noted that Plovdiv has got many representatives both of businesses and of science who deserve to be awarded honorary Diplomas for their activities and are under the patronage of the Patriarch of the Bulgarian business – Mr Ivan Grozev, namely "Work, science, duty, perseverance and patience".

Honorary Diplomas were awarded to Eng. Nikola Dobrev – a renowned Plovdiv industrialist, patron and public figure from Plovdiv - who created and preserved good practices for development in KCM AD in the conditions of market economy, Eng. Dimitar Georgiev, a businessman from Plovdiv, a cultural and public figure and owner of 19 prosperous companies, Eng. Sergey Stoyanov - Chairman of the Chamber of Installers in Bulgaria for his great beneficial activities for developing the installation business in Plovdiv District; Svetla Ruseva - Chairperson of the Bulgarian Transport Holding – for her effective business succession and good business practices for the interconnection between education and transport in the region, Prof. Dr Ilian Doykov – an owner of Kaspela EOOD University Hospital for Active Multidisciplinary Treatment - for activities, devoted to humanity, and for good business practices in linking medical education and science with active treatment, Mr Hristo Rogachev - for the good and sustainable business and educational practice of ATARO CLIMA EOODEng. Antoaneta Kaloferova - for the good and sustainable business and educational practice of SOLARITY BG.

An honorary Diploma for stimulating the partnership between the academia and industry was awarded to Prof. Maria Kazakova from the Medical University (MU) of Plovdiv, Dr Hristo Ivanov, MU Plovdiv, Assoc. Prof. Dr Kiril Atliev, VTC /Vocational Training Centre/ at MU Plovdiv, and Prof. Margarita Kasarova-TraikovaProf. Dr Veselin Belovezhdov from MU Plovdiv was honoured for good business practice in the field of medicine.

For good business practices in the field of education, awards were given to Assoc. Prof. Dr Svetla Dimitrova, President of the University of Agribusiness and Regional Development (UARD), and Prof. Dr Valentina Alexieva, Dean of Sofia University and Chairperson of the School for Reengineering at the University of Food Technologies (UFT).

Honorary Diplomas were awarded for outstanding entrepreneurial activity and good commercial practice to Diliana Stoilova, Representative of EMKOM BULGARIA EOOD, and to Peya Karova – Team leader of a student team from the University of Food Technologies (UFT), who has won the competition for bio-entrepreneurs. An honorary Diploma was also awarded to Prof. Dr Nikoleta Traikova - Deputy Rector of the Medical University of Plovdiv - for her substantial achievements in organising the project business activity and for linking the medical education and science with active treatment.

BCCI President Mr Simeonov surprised the audience by awarding an honorary Diploma also to Prof. Hadzhiev for his overall contribution to the development of the interrelation between business and education.

After closing the official part of the meeting, BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov invited the guests and participants in the ceremony to a networking session in an informal atmosphere.
