Representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Caritas Sofia took part in a regular meeting of the EMERALD project - Empowering Migrant Workers for a Sustainable Future: Upskilling and Reskilling for Green and Digital Jobs, held in Brussels, Belgium. Colleagues from the project consortium from Belgium, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, France and Croatia discussed the implementation of key activities.

The already established Retraining Laboratories in different countries are developing universal, effective models of public-private partnership that will be useful and applicable in other areas of qualification and retraining of workers with a view to their integration into the labor market.

In this regard, in Bulgaria, the partners are preparing training in two areas - renewable energy and information and communication technologies for third-country nationals.

The photovoltaic technician course is being developed in collaboration with Solar Academy Bulgaria. Its goal is to provide refugees with the basic knowledge and practical skills necessary for the safe and effective installation, configuration and maintenance of small and medium-sized photovoltaic systems.

During the meeting in Brussels, the partners held talks with organizations from Brussels and Wallonia that are engaged in consultations for third-country nationals, mentoring for young unemployed people, training and consultations for finding a job, organizations for preparing specialists in the ICT sector and training activities such as Trace Brussel, Duo for a Job, Hack Your Future, Cite des Metiers, EFP and others.
