BCCI took part in a delegation to Armenia, accompanying Bulgarian President Rumen Radev

Ivaylo Dermendzhiev, BCCI Board Member and Member of the Presidium of the Arbitration Court at BCCI, took part in a delegation to Armenia accompanying the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev during his official visit to Yerevan (11 – 13 February 2018). The delegation also included the Minister of Labour and Social Policy Biser Petkov, MPs from the Parliamentary Group for Friendship between Bulgaria and Armenia in the 44th National Assembly, representatives of the employers’ organizations and the business circles.

During the meetings between the Heads of State of Bulgaria and Armenia, emphasis was placed on the prospects of promoting bilateral cooperation in economy, investment, technology, education and tourism.

As part of the visit, the business representatives had meetings with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, as well as with representatives of the Armenian SME Development National Center and the Development Foundation of Armenia.

Ivaylo Dermendzhiev spoke with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia and Yerevan CCI, discussing opportunities for development of the bilateral relations and future joint initiatives.  The management of the Arbitration Court with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia received an official invitation to visit the conference “120 years arbitration in Bulgaria and 65 years since the establishment of the Arbitration Court at BCCI”, which will be held from 18 to 19 April 2018 in Sofia.

A meeting was also held with the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia, chairing the BSEC Business Council (January – June 2018), of which BCCI is a member.

During the visit it was agreed that Bulgaria will host a Bulgarian – Armenian Business Forum to present specific projects of mutual interest.
