The BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov participated in the closing conference under the "TRUST" project in Oslo, Norway, entitled "Results and Recommendations through Experience Sharing and Bilateral Cooperation". The conference was organized by the Fund for Decent Work and Tripartite dialogue in the framework of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
The "TRUST" project was implemented by the BCCI in partnership with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). Mr.Henrik Munthe from NHO shared with BCCI their experience, knowledge and best practices in social dialogue and tripartite cooperation.
Achievements and good practices under the “TRUST" project (Transparency for sustainable social policy) and other projects, financed by the Fund, were presented during the event. The project started in October, 2012 and it was implemented with the kind support of the Norwegian Ambassadors in Sofia – H.E. Tove Skarstein and later H.E.Guro Katharina Vikør.
The most valuable project results are:
- improved tripartite dialogue and social practices in Bulgaria;
- increased transparency of the social dialogue process in the country;
- improved capacity building of the interested stakeholders;
- shared experience with the Norwegian partner;
- increased public awareness on the discussed issues and decisions taken within the tripartite dialogue structures.
TRUST project was selected as one of the most successful projects implemented within the Grant scheme and it was included in the Annual Report 2013-2014 of the EEA and Norway Grants. Special thanks were expressed to the representatives of the Programme Operator Innovation Norway and particularly to Mr.Knut Ringstad, Mrs.Venceslava Yanchovska and Mrs.Galina Vassileva who contributed to the successful project implementation.
The BCCI as a key player in social dialogue will continue to make every endeavour in the future towards increasing the efficiency and improving the tripartite cooperation in Bulgaria as an important factor for preserving social peace and creating conditions for the development of a functioning and competitive economy.
