Bulgarian – Lebanese Business Forum

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted Bulgarian – Lebanese Business Forum, organized in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIAB).

At the opening of the forum, the Secretary-General of BCCI Vasil Todorov greeted the large number of participating companies on their interest in business cooperation. He briefly reviewed the advantages of the Bulgarian economy and expressed readiness on behalf of BCCI to assist Bulgarian and Lebanese businesses.

For the Lebanese side, the Vice Chairman of CCIAB Dr. Nabil Fahed called for increasing the volume of foreign investment and for promoting bilateral cooperation.

Welcoming speeches were also given by the official guests – the Deputy Minister of Economy Lyuben Petrov and Suzan Mouzi, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Lebanon in Bulgaria, who congratulated BCCI on the recently renewed activity of the Bulgarian-Lebanese Business Council.

The forum continued with presentations of the investment and business climate in Bulgaria and Lebanon, made by Svetoslav Gatev, Expert in the Invest Bulgaria Agency and Nabil Itani, Chairman and General Manager of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon, respectively.

The official part of the forum ended with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between BCCI and CCIAB. The forum continued with bilateral meetings between representatives of Bulgarian and Lebanese companies.
