Meeting with the Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs’ Office at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Paris

Ms. Anna Lazarova, Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs’ Office at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Paris visited BCCI and met with Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Chamber. During the meeting they discussed the state of the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and France.

According to Ms Lazarova, there is investor interest in Bulgaria – for the opening of new sports stores in the country, the purchase of production capacity in the foods and beverages sector, as well as validation of already established contacts between well-known French companies and Bulgarian subcontractors.

Tsvetan Simeonov presented novelties in the services offered by BCCI, including mobile applications - for the Chamber and for checking the barcodes of goods and services.

During the discussion the need for a greater advertising of Bulgaria and Bulgarian products in France was identified. It was noted that the events organized to promote bilateral business contacts, should be preceded by a screening and selection of participants, based on the evaluation of the potential for implementation in France of the specific goods and services they offer.

Several business events with the participation of Bulgarian companies in the furniture industry, fashion industry, etc.  are expected to be carried out in France by the end of the year.
