Bulgarian – Belgian forum with the participation of the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of Belgium

In the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry a Bulgarian – Belgian Business Forum organized in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Antwerpen-Waasland (VOKA) took place with the participation of the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of the Kingdom of Belgium Pieter De Crem, the Governor of the Province of Antwerpen Cathy Berx, the President of the Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce John Stoop, and BCCI’s Secretary General Basil Todorov. The Ambassadors of the two countries H.E. Maya Dobreva and H.E. Anick Van Calster also attended the event.

The forum was opened by Vasil Todorov who emphasized BCCI’s excellent cooperation with business organizations from Belgium and the wide variety of services provided by BCCI to Bulgarian and foreign entrepreneurs.

Pieter De Crem pointed out the traditionally good relations between the two countries, the large number Belgian investors in Bulgaria, the expanding scope of trade and the growing connectivity between the two countries’ economies. Regarding his meeting with the Bulgarian Prime Minister, the Secretary of State Mr. De Crem assured the participants that b2b meetings will be supported by b2g meetings in the name of successful economic relations.

The President of the Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce John Stoop urged to increase cooperation between the governments, the business and diplomatic circles, as a prerequisite for successful economic relations.

The forum continued with presentation of the investment climate in Bulgaria and bilateral meetings between the Belgian and Bulgarian business representatives.
