Meeting with the President of the Bulgarian – Macedonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The current state of the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Macedonia were discussed at a meeting between Plamen Pavlov, President of the Bulgarian – Macedonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov.

The sectors of energy, electronics, IT, machinery and equipment for the food and beverage industry (meat and dairy processing, wine-making), transport, etc. were outlined as promising sectors for bilateral trade and investment.

During the meeting, it was agreed to plan joint initiatives to give additional impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

In order not to lose momentum after the signing of the Friendship, Good Neighbourly Relations and Cooperation Treaty between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia, the Presidents of the two Chambers agreed on the elaboration of an ambitious programme for 2019, containing specific measures for the development of the untapped potential in the trade relations between the two countries.
