The Deputy Head of the Embassy of the Netherlands visited BCCI

Jurrien van der Horst, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Sofia, visited BCCI and met with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov.

During the meeting, the diplomat provided information on the future plans for developing economic cooperation between the two countries.

Simeonov, in turn, acquainted the guest with the guidelines for the activity of BCCI for the period 2019 - 2023. The President of the Chamber also pointed out that the BCCI is the 11th chamber in the world, that has been licensed by the International Chamber of Commerce as a certified issuer of foreign trade documents, and that it hosts the GS1 system in Bulgaria. Attention was also paid to the digitalization of the Arbitration Court at BCCI, which is a significant advantage for increasing its competitiveness among a number of other similar institutions worldwide.

Simeonov and Horst stressed the importance of Bulgaria’s accession to the Eurozone “waiting room” and the future introduction of the euro in the country, which BCCI fully supports.
