The nationally representative employers’ organizations and trade unions insist the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan to be submitted to the EC by the end of April

The nationally representative employers’ organizations and trade unions - the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA), the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG), the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria (CITUB), and Confederation of Labour “Podkrepa”, insist on immediate meetings with each of the political parties represented in the parliament, to confirm the public consensus for the submission of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan in the European Commission by the end of April. By doing so, Bulgaria will be able to receive the funds provided in the plan in July, August, and September. At a press conference in the National Press Club of BTA, the nationally representative organizations called for a consensus on the adoption of the Plan as the topic is non-partisan and concerns the entire society.

The nationally representative employers’ organizations and trade unions have three specific proposals for further development of the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan. They want additional funds to be provided for the three funds created at their insistence - "Technological Modernization", "Green Transition" and "Digitalization", in the new element of Item 1: Program for Economic Transformation.
