Meeting with the management of the Bulgarian – Australian Business Chamber


Representatives of the management of the Bulgarian – Australian Business Chamber – Yoana Kehlibarova, CEO and Yulia Koleva, Executive Secretary, visited BCCI and discussed with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov the opportunities for intensifying the cooperation between Bulgaria and Australia.

Yoana Kehlibarova informed about previously expressed interest of Australian entrepreneurs with intentions for future investment in Bulgaria in the field of mining industry and education. In particular, interest has been expressed in student exchange between the two countries, with three of the top ten universities in the world being located in Australia.

The status of the negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and Australia was also a topic of the meeting.

Work is underway on a social security agreement between Australia and Bulgaria to coordinate the social security schemes of the two countries.
