BCCI took part in the May plenary session of EESC in Brussels


The May plenary session of the European Economic and Social Committee, which is being held in Brussels, started with a debate on the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda. In the discussion the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is represented by its Vice-President Mr. George Stoev.

Positions regarding investor protection and investor to state dispute settlement in EU trade and investment agreements with third countries were discussed. A package of tax transparency measures to fight tax avoidance and evasion was also reviewed. During the plenary session opinions on long term social care and de-institutionalisation (exploratory opinion requested by the Latvian presidency) and fostering creativity, entrepreneurship and mobility in education and training were also debated.
